Vice Presidential Debate
The election has been unpredictable for most political pundits. Therefore, it makes sense to use the history within this race as a way to predict future results, instead of using past elections. As you can see below, the 538 Now-cast has Hillary Clinton winning comfortably. This shows the debates matter because it was about 50/50 before the last debate.

The Vice Presidential debate is at 9PM tonight. We will see if it effects the race or the markets in the days following it.
Hurricane Matthew Takes Aim For The Southeast
Hurricane Matthew is threatening to shut in 33 million barrels of oil storage in the Bahamas. Statoil operates the 6.7 million barrel South Riding Point terminal on Grand Bahama Island. Buckeye Partners operates a 26.2 million barrel terminal on Grand Bahama Island.

The initial forecasts were for the hurricane to move out to sea, but, as you can see below, the forecasts have move towards the southeast. A landfall in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina are possible.
