Since 2009, I have been refining my dividend investing strategy with an investing process that focuses on evaluating key data points from a list of companies to make my investment decision.
The core data points of my list consists of the following key metrics amongst others:
- Years of consecutive dividend growth (last 10 years)
- 3 year dividend growth average
- 5 year dividend growth average
- 10 year dividend growth average
- 3 year EPS growth average
- 5 year EPS growth average
- 10 year EPS growth average
To make an investing decision, I do the following:
- I look at the sector where I need to add funds
- Followed by the rank my formula generates
- I check to see if there is a 10/10 candidate
- I take a look at the yield of the top listed companies based on the rank if there isn't a 10/10 candidate
- I make sure it's a stock with a resilient business that we use daily in our life
It's a pretty simple process and it's all possible because of my Dividend Performance List. If you struggle finding a stock to buy, you should really look into the sample provided to get an idea of what the list can do for you. I have grown my dividend portfolio to over $300,000 using the process outlined above.
All the best! |
