Challenge Your Old Ideas

Education Is A Process...

When I meet people who are struggling financially, I often find they’re doing so simply because they can’t break free from old ideas from family, friends, and school. In other words, they follow ideas they may not even know they are following—ideas such as “don’t make mistakes” or “get a safe, secure job” or “work hard, save money, and stay out of debt.”

These are bad ideas if you are a person who wants to become rich as quickly as possible. The price of becoming rich is, for many people, the price of examining their old ideas and finding out which ideas need to be changed. But remember, when one mental idea changes, it often requires changing emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

As I wrote in an earlier letter, life is about change. But how do you change? You change through learning. You can learn many different ways. I like to read books, take seminars and study under a mentor.

Education is really a process. The problem with traditional education is that traditional education is a process to becoming an employee. That is why most people say, “Go to school to get a job.” Most people never question going to school to get a job and become an employee.

An intelligent person would ask, “What if I don’t want to be an employee?”

This is where you can choose between a traditional or non-traditional education. I have been taking the path of non-traditional education since 1973 and it has given me the biggest unfair advantage in my life. I continue with my non-traditional education today. I never want to stop learning.

As I’ve stated many times before, having a great teacher is one of the shortcuts to success. And that’s why I’m inviting you to join my advisor, Andy Tanner, as he hosts a live webinar. You can register here.
