When StartEngine was founded, our mission was to help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. What we could not have predicted, two years ago, was that the majority of these entrepreneurs would be building “green” companies. Recently the United States ratified the Paris accords in order to reduce carbon emission. In the coming years, we will see hundreds, if not thousands, of new companies build exciting businesses and technologies to combat global warming.
According to Paul Elio of Elio Motors, he promises to reduce our current emission by a half a percent, if 300,000 cars are sold in a year. Other StartEngine entrepreneurs help reduce carbon emission by engineering vertical farms, manufacturing electric cars and producing solar energy technology. Our community of over 65,000 investors is interested in being next generation of investors by participating in innovative companies.
I have good news: starting today you will see more green companies join StartEngine. Together we can make a difference and leave a better place for the next generation. In a way, we are all part of a movement to do good by investing in companies that not only will reduce the carbon emission but also create high-paying jobs with equity.
