Orange Fund IV is closing on Monday @ 11pm
We have space for about a dozen more investors. First come, First serve.
Y Combinator's Winter 2016 Demo Day is fast approaching. Y Combinator is the Harvard of startup accelerators, often the top choice for promising startups.
We're closing up the Orange Fund IV next Monday, so we can ensure we have the funds on hand to get access to the most promising YC startups. Depending the amount of funds raised, we'll invest in 12 to 20 startups in the batch.
ORANGE FUND
Chai is now open
Chai has built an advanced DNA testing device that anyone can use.
Since their first round 8 months ago, Chai has gone from garage prototype to full scale production. They've nearly fulfilled $500k in pre-orders and are set for a full scale public launch later this month.
Chai's DNA diagnostics machine is portable and also 10x cheaper and simpler to use than expensive lab equipment. The Global Health applications alone are huge, enabling doctors to definitively diagnose diseases like Zika and Malaria in the field for the first time.
They're creating an entirely new market of biologists. Early customers include: brewers, farmers, breeders, and universities like Stanford and MIT.
CHAI
P.S. - We like Chai because they're enabling a future where 10x more people have the tools to innovate in science.
Emberlight
Just filled over half their round from one investor.
Emberlight turns any light bulb into a smart bulb that can be controlled through their mobile app.
They're using Wefunder to help finance their new deal with Target.
EMBERLIGHT
P.S. - Target wants to roll out Emberlight in 1,800 stores.
Magnises
Has only $60k left to fill their round.
Magnises earned $2.1M in their second year. See their most recent feature inBusiness Insider. They're using Wefunder to help finance their expansion to 10 new cities in 2016.
MAGNISES
P.S. - Tesla, Uber, Forbes, and Grey Goose are Magnises partners.
